Pet
Sketches are an illustration of joy. They
express the character of my dog and my neighbors' pets.
My
dog's name is Link, I am his human. My most important
role is meal provider and treat dispenser. Link shows
me the pleasures of early morning walks, sunrises and
rain puddles. He sniffs everywhere. I breathe the fresh
morning air. Through Link, I have met many of my wonderful
neighbors. We meet in our local park, comparing dog
notes and getting to know each other.
Each
one of the neighborhood dogs is unique. My images of
them begin with a photograph. Using a variety of computer
based techniques and a digital tablet, I draw, paint,
and sketch portraits of each animal. The tools provide
flexibility for creation and a range of output options.
Final prints are made on a wide format giclee printer.
